Gordon Wood
Senior Pastor
I was born and raised in Canada, and saved at the age of eight. By the time I was fifteen I knew that I was destined for some sort of ministry. While born into the Presbyterian church, I joined the Baptist church when I was an adolescent. I have degrees in theology and divinity and am still exuberant about church, even after 20 years of ministry! My B. Th. is from Prairie Bible College in Western Canada and my M. Div. is from Denver Seminary. I came to the USA in 1990 and served Baptist General Conference churches in Denver and Wisconsin for 16 years before arriving at Faith EFC in 2009. I was formally ordained in 1997 so you can call me “Rev” if you want to. I am also ordained in the EFCA, enthusiastically agreeing with their doctrinal statement.
I’m married and Heather and I have a teen and a “tween”. When time permits, I ride almost anything with two wheels, read and woodwork, but never at the same time!
Prior to pastoral ministry, I have been a social worker, roofer, a sheet metal worker and also worked for a government contractor. I’ve traveled in North America, Europe, Eastern Europe and Central America on several short-term mission trips.
